Car Valeting Press Releases
Halfords - scare men away from your car cleaning products by making them pink! PDF Print E-mail
Car parts and accessories store Halfords has put out a hi-larious press release, urging women (OK, “girls”) to buy its pink products.

The range is actually called “Car Cosmetix”, because clearly the way to sell bug removers to women is to compare them to makeup (“for head turning results”) and produce them in a sickly shade of our favourite colour.

Girls, are you tired of the boys in your household using your expensive face creams, body lotions or even your special bath oils? Fear no more, Halfords the UK’s leading retailer of car parts and accessories have introduced a fabulous range of girlie car cleaning products that will keep those ghastly boys away!

The new pink car cleaning range may scream out femininity, but rest assured all the products are 100% robust. However hush… don’t tell the boys, they might just decide to try these after all!

Patronising much?

Car value depreciation can be dramatically reduced by car valeting PDF Print E-mail

Car buyers across the U.K hoping to have a brand new car are facing a hard bargain. In the first year of ownership, a brand new car will suffer on average, a 43% loss of value. Car value continues to depreciate even further and in the third year of ownership the car will have lost around 60% of its value. As a result many car buyers decide to buy cars that are nearly new, having already depreciated to a half of their original price. Excluding the curbing of mileage other things can be done to reduce the depreciation of your car.

The most simple and basic advice is to keep your car clean. This is easy to say but if the car is to truly benefit from maintenance it is advised that professional valeting service should be used. Your average multi storey car park cowboy who will wash a car for 5 pounds may remove the dirt from your car, but the remaining scratches as a result of poor professionalism and incompetency will do nothing but reduce your car’s value. As it goes consumers are normally washing their cars once every fortnight. It is recommended by carvaleter.com that you wash your car every two weeks and get a full valet every month. As it goes consumers are normally washing their cars once every fortnight. Upkeep of averagely priced cars (£8,000-£16,000) with the use of a professional valeting service can save you up to £2,000, and around £4,000 on executive cars (£20,0000+).

Aquanought, Eco Friendly, Waterless Car Cleaning System Comes To Kent PDF Print E-mail

''A Waterless Eco Friendly car cleaning system, managed by a husband and wife team. We come to you, providing the personal touch and service that isn't available in the roadside and garage car cleaning services. We clean and wax the car, providing protection for up to 4 weeks. Auto Express Review "The leaders in this Field"

A local car wash company called Aquanought, is set to beat the current hosepipe-ban with its revolutionary waterless cleaning system. Under the “eco friendly car wash” banner, husband and wife team, Iain and Karen Brown, intend to transform the way in which everyday people have their cars cleaned, by using their unique time and money saving service.

The product used to clean the cars is unique to Aquanought in the UK and has a simple spray-wipe-clean operation.

As well as being waterless, the eco friendly liquid used on the cars is non-toxic and bio-degradable. This results in no effluent impact, which means no run off of dirty water into the drains.

Our company utilises recycled cleaning cloths, specially filtered vacuum cleaners and our marketing material is printed on recycled paper. There is no other operation quite like this in the country.

Its formula means cars can be washed, polished and protected without smearing or streaking, leaving a highly reflective finish.

This technology was first created in America, where in certain States, cars have to be cleaned in nominated bays, because of water shortages.

“We literally take the wash away with us, leaving your car in near showroom condition,” said Iain.

The current water restrictions facing many customers throughout the South East, means that anybody caught cleaning their car with a hosepipe, could face a £1000 fine.

With this new technology, dry-cleaning cars has become an everyday possibility, to help preserve future water supplies. Aquanought intends to be positioned as the leader in mobile and static waterless car wash operations.

The hosepipe bans follow two drier than average winters in the South East. The Environment Agency says underground water supplies and some reservoirs are well below average for this time of year.

Up to 13 million people have been affected by the restrictions. However everyday car wash companies can continue to use high pressure jets and forecourt washes, which seems to be a contradiction to the ban.

So is the waterless car wash the answer?

One concern is that removing the dirt and grime from the car without water could scratch the paintwork. “Not so!” says Karen. “The secret formula of our product creates a positive charge on the dirt particles, which holds the dirt off the car. The negatively charged cloths we use then sweep away the dirt, cleaning and polishing at the same time.”

“It will work in all weather conditions, rain or shine. You have to see it to believe it,” continued Iain.

One thing is certain, that the current waste of water cannot go on indefinitely. Hosepipe bans could become a year round problem, possibly throughout the country, unless we reduce our dependence on this scarce natural resource.
